April Meeting: 

Motion in Sports

Rich Woodfin is a professional photographer based in Concord. For more than 30 years, Rich's lens has captured the essence of motion, freezing moments of intense action and emotion at a wide range of sporting events. Combining technical expertise with artistic flair, Rich has built a reputation for excellence, delivering stunning images that tell stories and evoke powerful emotions. His work not only celebrates the athleticism of individuals and teams but also serves as a testament to the power of photography to capture fleeting moments in time. Join Rich at our April meeting on April 10th as he shares his insights and experiences in capturing motion through the lens of a camera. From the fundamentals of shutter speed and composition to the nuances of anticipating action, Rich's presentation will share photos and techniques and promises to inspire and educate both novice and seasoned photographers alike.

In this presentation, Rich will share his expertise in capturing motion in photography, discussing equipment, settings, composition and framing, shutter speeds, panning, post processing, and more!

April Challenge: 

Reflections

Rules:

• Your photos must be taken between March 27th , 2024, and April 24th, 2024.

• You may submit one image for critique

• Your image follows the definition of the Reflections.

• Please submit your image no later than April 24th  by emailing a full-size (300 ppi and 3600 pixels on the long edge) jpeg to grccmailbox@gmail.com.

And finally, this is not a competition. Have fun with it and push yourself to learn something new.

Reflection photos refer to any shot, no matter what type of photography genre, that uses a reflective surface. Landscape photography, with a mountain duplicated in the still water of a lake, is reflection photography.
